The CCIE Security certification recognizes network security engineers who have expert-level knowledge in implementing, maintaining, and supporting Cisco Network Security Solutions. With CCIE Security training from Remtrix, you will be able to gain one of the most advanced network security certifications available. CCIE Security training will allow you to demonstrate your theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios to work with teams on complex network security projects.

Prerequisites

There are no formal prerequisites for CCIE Security training. Instead, you are encouraged to have three to five years of job experience before attempting the CCIE Security certification and you must pass a written qualification exam and a hands-on lab exam.

Exams

Step One: CCIE Security Written Exam
You must pass the two-hour, written qualification exam covering networking concepts and some equipment commands before you are eligible to schedule the lab exam.
Step Two: CCIE Security Lab Exam
The eight-hour lab exam tests your ability to get a secure network running in a timed test situation. You must make an initial attempt of the CCIE lab exam within 18-months of passing the CCIE written exam. If you do not pass the lab exam within three years of passing the written exam, you must retake the written exam before being allowed to attempt the lab exam again.
